Love Your Muslim Neighbours

The rise of “honour killings” in Canada (already a significant problem in parts of Europe) is a trend that Americans are just becoming aware of. This should lead us not only to prayer, but also to a gracious, gospel outreach to Muslim families and communities so bound in spiritual darkness and destruction. Many Muslim immigrants live in spiritual darkness, misery, and tensions between the false dichotomy of two paths of destruction: Western hedonism and Islam. What a vast difference between this Islamic response to what may in part have been sin, and a biblical, Christian response to sin, rooted in the very being of the Triune God: “in this is love, not that we have loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.” (1 John 4:10-11)
