The following video prank is not only surprising and humorous, but also resonates at a deeper level; there is something satisfying about it.

As I reflected on the appeal of the scenario, beyond a good laugh, one word came to mind: justice. In comedy, as elsewhere, human hearts both reflect and resonate with at least a partial desire for justice, even with the distorting influences of sin: “For when Gentiles, who do not have the law, by nature do the things in the law, these, although not having the law, are a law unto themselves, who show the work of the law written on their hearts…” (Romans 2:14-15) This means that today, as in Paul’s day, the Christian who proclaims or witnesses the Word has a God-given ally in their hearers, whether Christian or not: the conscience.
